*** Important ***  Team Managers need to be a registered volunteer (in Sports Connect) and need to take the Cardiac Arrest, Concussion Awareness and Safe Haven certifications (via AYSOU).  And they need to be fingerprinted, as part of the Background Check process.

6U – 14U Player Uniforms will be distributed on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024.  Click here for details.

The Team Managers meeting for all 6U – 14U teams will be  held at 7:00 PM on Thursday August 8th, 2024 at the Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 South Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks CA 91361.
Fingerprinting will be done from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the hall area the same date.

Team Volunteers Information

Every Region 9 team must have the following Volunteers before the children can play AND before uniforms will be distributed:

  • Team Coach
  • 1 or more Assistant Coaches
  • 1 or more Team Managers (formerly known as a Team Mom or Team Parent)
  • Team Sponsor (or Sponsors). The cost is $100 per Team, not per sponsor.
  • 1 or more Team Referees (for 7U, 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U teams only)
  • 2 to 5 Team Volunteers (excluding 16U & 19U teams). Team Volunteers are used to help out as field monitors, field crew, etc. and generally only need to work a 2-hr shift EACH:
    twice per season (2 volunteer shifts per season x 2 volunteers per shift) for 6U, 7U and 8U teams
    3 to 5 times per season (3 to 5 volunteer shifts per season x 2 volunteers per shift) for 10U=3, 12U=4, 14U=5 shifts.

Your Team Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager(s) and Team Referee(s) must first be registered as AYSO Volunteers. In addition, all Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Referees must have completed AYSO Certification and Training for their jobs. The Coaches and Referees sections of this website have more details.

Each team must provide at least 2 Adult Volunteers for each of their 2 to 5 assigned volunteer dates. EACH Adult Volunteer will work a 2-hour shift and be assigned to an area that needs the most attention when they report for duty.
