What Should My Child Bring to Soccer Practices?

  • a proper-size soccer ball:
    #3 for 6U, 7U, 8U
    #4 for 10U, 12U
    #5 for 14U, 16U, 18U
    mark the ball with your last name and phone number (so that it can be returned if it gets misplaced)
  • shoes:  cleats (no baseball/softball shoes with toe cleats), turf shoes; sneakers are OK, open-toe shoes are NOT
  • shin guards (to be worn UNDER the socks, next to the player's skin)
  • comfortable clothing
  • water (lots of it when the weather is warm)
  • sun protection
  • leave any and all jewelry at home:  earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, etc.
    a medical alert bracelet is OK. Taping over of earrings and other piercings is not allowed.
