How to Register :
Click here for detailed instructions on how to complete online player registration.
Go to the Region 9 website at: www.ayso9.org
If you are new to AYSO Region 9, click on the Register Now button in the upper right corner of the Region 9 home page for both Player Registration and Volunteer Registration.
The new Account should be in the name of the adult parent or guardian, NOT the child.
Do not click Register Now (and thus create a new Sports Connect Account) if you already have a Region 9 User Account.
If you previously created a User account in Sports Connect, for a Player and/or Volunteer, click on Login.
Rather than a Username, Sports Connect will ask for your email address. If you have not logged in since last year (or earlier), and if you are using the same email address as you used to create an Account in a prior year, Sports Connect will ask you to create a new Password and then confirm that new Password (ignore the message about Create a New Account; you are actually just updating a Password for an existing account). They will then send you an email with a link which you use to login to your existing account with your email address and new Password.
Do NOT create a new account if you have forgotten your password. The Player history and the Volunteer history from prior years might be lost.
You should see all Participant(s) from prior year(s) so that you can register your child(ren) to play, and yourself to Volunteer.
Do not create a new Sports Connect account if you already have a Sports Connect account!
If you do create a new account, you will not be able to access Participant/Player or Volunteer information from prior year(s) using your user name, (usually your email) and the password you created when you first created the account.
Program descriptions:
AYSO 2026 Core -- "Standard Competitive and Non-competitive Soccer Program."
AYSO 2026 EPIC -- "Program designed for Special needs children with Disabilities."
Winter League 2026/27 -- "A Non-competitive Soccer Program."
Note: only youth players are "Participants" in Sports Connect. Adult Volunteers are not Participants; they are "Volunteers".
- Online Registration for the Fall core season will open beginning April 1st.
- Player registration MUST be done online, with an internet-connected computer or with a smartphone or tablet.
- If your child did not play in AYSO Region 9 in the previous season, you MUST upload a copy of the birth certificate into Sports Connect;
or you must send a COPY of the child's birth certificate via email or to our PO Box. - Date(s) and location(s) for player evaluations (not tryouts; Everyone Plays! Balanced Teams!) will be announced. Parents of players with completed online applications will be notified via email. Information will also be posted to the Region 9 website.
- Our Region 9 registration fee for the Core program is $170.00.
The registration fee for the EPIC (formerly VIP) Program is $0.00. (FOR SPECIAL NEEDS PLAYERS ONLY!)
There is an additional charge of $25.00 per player (the AYSO National Annual Membership Fee); and an additional $3.50 (credit card) processing fee is charged per transaction.
Please also note: AYSO Region 9 is able to function only because of volunteers. We will only be able to form as many teams as we have parents who step up to volunteer to be a Head Coach, so while you are registering your child, take the opportunity to register as a Volunteer (we also need Referees, and Assistant Coaches). Please take a couple of minutes to read (or re-read!) the Volunteer Registration Instructions! The steps to follow may not be readily obvious.
Note: only youth players are "Participants" in Sports Connect. Adult Volunteers are not Participants; they are "Volunteers".
A player evaluation (not a tryout) is required for all players who were not registered in Region 9 in 2025 and who will be in the 10U-19U age groups. The evaluation must be completed before a player will be placed on a team. Bring the child equipped with shin guards and a soccer ball (size 4 for children in 10U or 12U or size 5 for children in 14U, 16U and 19U).
Should you have questions, contact:

Please make sure that your Participant/Player's first and last name, gender, and date of birth are correct on the Add New Participant web page before you click the Continue button. Once you click that button, you cannot make any correction; you should contact the Registrar if a mistake was made.
Registration is open to everyone.
Region 9 is a 100% VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. Your participation is needed to make the season successful!
