Regional Badge Referee Training (for 10U/12U/14U matches)

If you are a new AYSO referee and plan to officiate (as an Assistant Referee) 10U, 12U or 14U games during the Fall 2025 season, here are your options for training:
You have 2 choices for your training
1 - Self-paced Regional Referee ONLINE Training with an on the field companion course on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Conejo Creek Park South, 9AM-Noon.
2 - Self-paced Regional Referee ONLINE Training with an on the field companion course on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Conejo Creek Park South, 1PM-4PM.

Or, follow the following:
| 1. | Go to AYSOU. There is a link in the left navigation bar on your My Account page and your My Volunteer page. |
| 2. | Go to "Training Event" on the left. |
| 3. | Find "August 16." |
| 4. | Click See All Events Only Region 9 courses should appear, as the default filter is your own Region. |
| 5. | Choose either the 9am - noon or the 1pm -4pm Regional Referee Companion Course. You will need to scroll to see the 1pm to 4pm class. PRESS "Enroll" on the right side of the one you choose. Do not sign up for coach training that day! |
| 6. | Go to "My Training" in the list on the left. |
| 7. | Find "NEW - Regional Referee - Online + In-Person Companion Course" |
| 8. | Click the "View" button. |
| 9. | Click the Start button in the first box. |
| 10. | Take the rest of the course. |
| 11. | Pass the test. |
| 12. | Show up on Aug 16 at the signed-up time. |
| 13. | If you cannot appear on Aug 16, we might schedule other companion courses after the season starts, or you can "unclick" Region 9 in the search filters at the top, and use a radius to find nearby Referee Courses. Newbury Park, Moorpark, Agoura, Simi Valley, and Camarillo are nearby. |
Referee Kit (Uniform) Vouchers redeemable at BK Sports (in Newbury Park) will be distributed AFTER THE REQUIRED REFEREE ON-FIELD TRAINING
for Region 9 Referees who pass the course. Note: Women's and children's uniforms will be available! Shirts, shorts, and socks, as well as a whistle and a Match Report Wallet.
When your safety courses are verified as completed, you will be given an ID and password for the Referee Self-Scheduling System. Instructions will be presented at the New Referee Meeting
on August 27, 2025, 7PM at Conejo Creek South Park (Meeting Room).
Regional Referee Badges will be distributed on Week One (September 6, 2025) at the Referee Tent at the CC South Fields, on verification of completion of safety courses and Referee Training .
