What Team

What Team is My Child On?

(Updated 7/22/2019) Teams for the Fall 2019 season have been formed.  Coaches meetings are being held this week (7/22) , at which time coaches will be notified about who is on their team.  Most coaches will reach out to their teams by the end of July.  But keep in mind that they are volunteers who may have job-related and/or family-related obligations (e.g. a family vacation) which may delay them.

To check on your child's status in late July, login to Blue Sombrero (top right corner of the Region 9 website).  Go to your Account web page.  In the My Account tab you should see your child or children listed under Participants.  In the blue bar under each child's name you should see the Program they are registered in (e.g. 2019 Fall Core); the Division they are registered in (e.g. 10UG); and, if they have been placed on a specific team, the Team Designation (e.g. 10UG01).

If there is a Team Designation, you can look up the name of your child's coach in the 2019 Coaches List .  For privacy reasons, we have not included the coaches' contact information (email, phone) on this list.  But at least you know who you should be hearing from.

If there is no specific Team Designation, then your son or daughter is probably on the wait list.  Use the Board of Directors 2019 list to find the Division Administrator (DA) for your child's Division.  For example, if Blue Sombrero shows your daughter in the 10UG Division, you would look for the 10U Girls DA.

Practices typically start in the first week of August but not every team may actually be practicing during this first week.
A link to the 2019 Practice Schedule will be posted.
Keep in mind that the 4U and 5U Programs do not have teams; all the players' activity will be on Saturdays starting on Opening Day in September.
And although there are teams for 6U Boys and 6U Girls, they do not have practices during the week.  Again, all of their activity will be on Saturdays starting in September.

Practice Schedules:  If your child’s coach has selected a day(s) and time(s) for team practices (1 practice per week for U7 and U8 teams, 2 practices per week for U10-14 teams) you should be able to find that team on the Practice Schedule web page … assuming that you know at least your child’s Team Number (again, found in Blue Sombrero as explained above).

You can also contact the Region 9 Registrar at [email protected] if you have questions … about your child’s team, about your child’s wait-list status, etc.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
